Ever since I was a kid, I had the weird habit of focusing on people's lips when they talked. Maybe it was because I unconsciously avoid looking them in their eyes for I felt tense and embarrassed as if I would share unwanted intimacy by having direct eye contact. The lips, on the other hand, are a more soothing substitute. The many small muscles give away the owner's secret emotion, but not demanding for mine.
As a result, I became very familiar to all shapes of lips and was fascinated by even the smallest, unnoticed lip movement. Lips could be so sensual and seductive without even uttering a word. And the lips whispering the desire for love are the most attractive.
Whisper of Youth is 50cmx50cmx50cm, larger than most of my other works. I had it in both fiber glass and bronze.
